2008 August > Lively Dragon Waterfest
Bayfront Park was alive with excitement as the Bay Area Restoration Council (BARC) and Lively Dragon teamed up once again at Hamilton’s Fifth Annual Lively Dragon Waterfest on July 5th. Along with BARC’s very own team, the Harbour Huggers, over 40 other dragonboat teams joined in the day-long fundraising event, all competing in a series of race events on the bay for fun, for glory and to raise awareness and funds in support of BARC's work to restore the harbour. Prizes were awarded to both the fastest dragonboat teams in each division, as well as to the top fundraising teams and individuals.
