2008 August > A Kick-Off To Energy Savings In July, Horizon Utilities, the Ontario Power Authority and the Hamilton Tiger Cats teamed up for a second season of continuing to build a conservation culture in Hamilton and St. Catharines with The Great Refrigerator Roundup. With the help of Tiger Cat Kicker, Nick Setta, this team stressed that you don't have to be built like a linebacker to kick that old, power-sucking fridge or freezer from your basement or garage to the curb. Thousands have already participated in this program, where old refrigerators are picked up for free and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. As part of the partnership, each Tiger Cat sack will be brought to fans by Horizon Utilities during home games. The Tiger Cats are committed to "Going Green" as the number one "Green" team in the CFL. Do you have a fridge or freezer ten years or older? To schedule an appointment or learn more about the program, call 1-877-797-9473 or visit www.everykilowattcounts.com/roundup.
