2008 August > Exploring The Eramosa Karst
We joined geological experts, outdoor enthusiasts and the Friends of the Eramosa Karst on a guided hike of the caves and geological features of Hamilton’s newest Conservation area. The Karst, which opened on June 20th and is located on Upper Mount Albion Rd, offers many different walking/ running trails through this area of irregular limestone in which erosion has produced fissures, sinkholes, underground streams and caverns. The Karst is open from 8:30 am until dusk every day. For more info, visit friendsoferamosakarst.org.
